Default F**KING PEOPLE !!!!!!

Recently sold a few items on here and the dreaded ebay. Believe it or not all the sales through ebay went smoothly and most went well through SNET.
Sold two OMP steering wheels and a MOMO one through here. Took them to the post office along with a few other large items, a few bits went to Germany, one steering wheel to Kent and another to Holland.
All good i thought, 2 weeks gone and no emails or messages saying there were problems. Actually got messages from a few people saying how good the items were and how pleased they were.
Then a few days later i get a message from the SNET member in Holland saying his steering wheel had not arrived. Bloody typical i thought so went down to the post office, spoke to the same lady who sent them and asked for advice. She informed me i should give it a few more days and then fill out a claims form. I messaged this guy straight away and said to please be patient and that i will happily repay his £60 once id heard from Royal Mail.
Went to use my paypal today and got a message saying that my account is frozen because of a dispute !!!!!!!!!!!
Can not believe it, i was more than happy to repay this guy once Royal Mail had been in contact, christ for all we know the wheel is sat on a shelf somewhere in their depot.
I actually think this prat is pulling a fast one, he asked me all about tracking numbers before hand which there were not any as i sent it airmail standard parcel. Didn't think there would be a problem. There is no way of proving he did or did not receive it so im just gonna have to take the hit. Chances of getting a refund from RM are slim im guessing.

Can't get my head round some people, i am a regular user with good feedback and kept in contact with the buyer. So now im stuck with a frozen pay pal account which i need to use, £60 out of pocket plus down a brand new suede OMP wheel. He obviously needs the 60 sheets more than i do so i'll just take it on the chin with a lesson learnt. Last time i send any parcels though, will not get stung twice.

Jeeze, I though PP would ****** back the 60 quid pending dispute, but freezing your account sucks.

Thats messed up. Just tell paypal the whole story and show them the emails, sn account posts etc and they should side in your favour. They should realise this guy has jumped the gun after you asked him to wait while Royal Mail can confirm.

I have similar problem at the mo.I sold a phone on twatbay & the buyer is trying it on saying it is faulty, twatbay didnt want to know so now he has gone through PP who have frozen my account & say I owe them £103 while they decide who is right or wrong. It has absolutely nothing to do with PP & they are playing judge dury & executioner. My p!ss is boilling good & proper
I have been a 'bayer for nearly 9 years & over 1500 transactions without any problems until recently & have had major ball ache off two tossers who are both Polish,Not saying all Poles are tossers but I do think some of them have strange ways of looking at things.(being very careful how I word this)
Rant over,sorry for threadjacking,now going for coffee & a *** P!ss still boiling

Definitely must do recorded delivery with this, purely because as you said there is no way of knowing if he did or did not receive it. I hope it all ends well and that he isn't pulling your leg and has got the wheel.... Some people

If i send out any parts, no matter where in the world it is I ALWAYS get it signed for. Its costs a few quid extra, even to USA/Canada etc but is worth every penny.

Just do what I do: don't sell outside the UK

If anything goes pear-shaped here in the UK I can sort it easily enough.

Don't send him any money until you hear from RM, he has done you a damage already by freezing your paypal after you telling him to wait few more days so tell him to wait for the money now, personaly i wouldnt refund anything until RM has contacted me.

I wouldnt send a thing without some kind of tracking or proof of delivery as folk are not to be trusted inside the UK or out. Its a shame you've had to learn the hard way though bud but to name and shame the guy is not fair, after all he may be telling the truth!

I advise you to post all communication you have had with him to the dispute just in case he is lying though.

Always send recorded or signed for. Its the only protection you have as a seller.
I sent a dump valve to holland the other day by international signed for and it cost a tenner which isn't too bad and it got there within 2 days.

I know I should of sent recorded delivery, just thought it would of been ok with normal airmail. Lesson learnt I suppose...

I want to apologise for my comment suggesting the guy has done the dirty. I was just annoyed that he didn't come to me before contacting PayPal. We could of sorted something out I'm sure as I'm not the sort of person to argue over £60.
The wheel may well of been lost in transit or delivered to the wrong address. I did put both his and my address on there but I take it Royal Mail may still have fooked up. As I said, I was just annoyed.
I'm not going to start posting the messages between him and myself or his username, I'm not that sort of person to start naming and shaming. It's done, ive lost out and that's the end of it. Was just an expensive lesson that's all.

in all fairness i would have done the same if i was him purely because as a buyer i have been turned over on ebay before.
i bought a phone the guy never sent it nor replied to my emails i put in a dispte with paypal and the guy had already withdrawn my payment . so i ended up recieving everything paypal managed to recover. in total i recieved £3.75 not bad when you think i paid £110 for the phone.

its paypal that fck you over.i had my account clossed by them. i had almost 2k in there i had over 1000 feedback on ebay .
i had always used the funds in my paypal for ebay only. then one day i decided to withdraw funds to my bank..... big mistake!!
they clossed my account and held all funds for 180 days yep 6mths ....... wank3rs

After seeing some of the documentaries on what goes on in sorting offices and such, I'd pay that £5 recorded delivery for the piece of mind every single time. The hassle of dealing with something gone wrong isn't worth it IMO.

Paypal are awful and they don't seem to have to act in a fair manner. It's for this reason I won't accept payments by paypal. I've been done over by them before and don't have any faith in how they operate. I never sell outside UK.

It wasn't through eBay though, it was sold through this site. I was just annoyed that he didn't come to me before starting a dispute which subsequently led to my account being put on hold.
I kindly asked him to hold fire until Royal Mail had been in touch and then we could of dealt with the problem. RM may have turned round and said the parcel is in such and such sorting office and will be delivered shortly.
Many folk know me on here, I'm a regular user with decent feedback and to be frank I'm not gonna go hungry after losing £60. It just would of been far more polite if the chap had come to me and said he needed the money or whatever.

Oh blimey - can't remember. It was a link form some adult spam mail. It would take me ages and a lot of luck to try to refind it.

But her set was only a few non-nude pics anyway.
