A poll to see who's owned a Sport...
Due to something that came up in another thread it was suggested that half the SN users have probably owned sports so i thought i'd do a poll to see.

Still own my Sport... couldn't be happier!
There's a time and a place for a turbo, or should I say an age...and 23 ain't it. (not for me anyway)
Doesn't stop me enjoying myself though!
One day I will get an STi but for now, the GX will do nicely

I thought this was a site for "like minded" fans of the Subaru Impreza, whatever age, style, colour or creed.
I can see from some of the bigoted comments on this thread and another one about non-turbo wagons that I am sadly wrong.
Every other internet car or bike forum has people on them that contribute in a positive way about their favourite "brand" whether they are new, old, standard, modified, rusty sheds or concourse. They just appreciate and share each others love of their particular favourite marque.
What the hell's going on with the contributors to this site?
I won't bother to offer further financial assistance to this site in future as I find some peoples comments are in poor taste!

Alas, I too have noticed the increasing Anti-Sport attitude on this forum. I have spent many an hour looking through the topics on here as they are useful, but I find it hard to comment as I feel I won't be taken seriously as I own a non-turbo.
I know its all too easy for people to simply say- 'Look on imprezasport.net' but I dont think you all realise how much of a dying/dead forum it is these days..it has about 6 users on at a time with very little activity.
It would be nice if sport owners could refer to this forum and seek advice and assistance without being told to either look elsewhere or buy a turbo!
With regards to what was mentioned earlier- I too thought this was a community of like-minded fans of the Impreza.
Maybe I was mistaken?

I would never say to anyone that their car is crap but if someone comes on here and asks for an honest opinion then i will provide it. The sport handles pretty good an it has lots of traction for slippy days but the fact of the matter is that they are slow and pretty thirsty when compared to cars of a similar price / insurance group. Am i lying???? No!
If i'm honest about my own car (Fab VRS) then it's handling is crap and under steers for fun but has a decent turn of speed and returns 50mpg all day long - that is my opinion and you are more than welcome to say what you like about it as that will be your opinion. Will i lose sleep over anything you say about it? No

Don't get me wrong 'Brun', I completley agree with what you are saying- : everyone is entitled to an opinion-
People can say what they like about how they think a particular car handles/ performs ect ect. Thats what makes programmes like Top Gear so interesting and entertaining!
My issue is with people who havnt owned the car, own a 'better', 'newer' and be it faster version or even a different marque all together but still like to offer an 'opinion' without any real backing
'No, they are crap'
If I had a quid for everytime I've read a topic to do with Sports and a comment like that has appeared I would be loaded! Hell! I'd be able to insure a turbo car now wouldnt I?! Lol!
When I was shopping around for my car I decided not to post about it until I owned it, manly so I had something to post about, but I hate to see posts from people asking for an opinion about the car and all they get back is- 'CRAP!'
*especially when those people then say they have never owned one.
I'm not here to make enemies, or to kick up a stink. I enjoy this forum and I find it entertaining to read not to mention very useful. But as a sport owner, I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't be here and I doubt I'm the only one who thinks this.

Frizzle-Dee.......mate if the car your driving makes you happy then thats what matters not what other people think and sadly like most forums you'll get good and bad comments no matter what debate you post up.
I drive a turbo wagon because I'm an old s*d and lucky enough to be able afford to insure and run it, but fair play to anyone who own's a non-turbo for whatever their reason's it don't make their opinions any less interesting.
All the best
