Default newbie question.

hi i have had a subaru for ages and was wanting a question answered for an arguement im having with a friend of a friend.

i have a 2005 blobeye spec c wr limited. it is standard apart from it was remapped when imported for uk fuel i believe (no idea as im not into tuning)

would it be faster than a x reg uk turbo2000?

this is not a wind up,i just want the arguement settling as keyboard warriors bug me.

X reg is a classic isn't it so standard will be 215hp albeit a lighter car at about 1200kg ... your Spec C will be close to 300hp albeit heavier at about 1350kg (?). Spec C should blitz a standard classic imho.

well put it this way

Would his spec c be quicker than my 336bhp classic? Personally I reckon there wouldnt be much in it due to weight but the twinscroll delivers quicker so it would be close.

Oh and i'm not a keyboard warrior, I drive mine like its supposed to be driven.

Lets see.... uk turbo 0-100 in about 16 seconds, JDM Spec C in 11.... think that answers your question

Tony

PS depends where the car came from about the remap, normally for 97 - 99 ron fuel so use nothing else.

Agreed, but mines not standard!

VF35, FMIC, Walbro, ECUTek, De-cat system and up pipe, 336bhp + 300 lb/ft

0-100 in 10, 1/4 mile in 12.5, 9m 29s Nurburgring with a passenger.

well your 50bhp up on a standard Spec C and that does 0-100 in 13 dead @ 108mph (subaru japan tested), no dodgy extra sticky surfaces there

What has your modded car got to do with a standard Spec C or a standard classic
