My baby is due her 10year or 70k service (she has done 69,643 now ) what does it entail and how much is it likely to be?

As my baby is low miles she has previously been serviced by the years rather than her mileage but i think some things on what would normal be done on a higher milage might need doing now.
in my understanding that means although shes only done 70k she gets a 100k mileage service as shes nearly 10 years old (will be 10 end of august)

What have you all paid for your 100k service? and what did you all get done? diff oil / new cambelt/gearbox oil/ filter etc

I need to know this aswell my 02 sti prodrive is at 68k miles and coming up to 10 years i am from N wales area aswell where will you take yours or will you do it your self?

Servicing should always be done by 10k miles OR 1 year, whichever is first, so your car should be on 100k miles OR 10 years, which I believe is a cambelt service, you may well wish the idlers done at the same time.

Lisa, mine is due the same. I spoke to Silverstone and they said pricewise around £230 (but that also included race spec brake fluid and braided brake hoses) They recommend going by the age of the car at our mileage i.e. a 10 year service as opposed to a 70k one. IIRC, engine oil and filter. Check the plugs and replace if necessary. Brake fluid. Air filter change / clean (if it`s reusable). Gearbox oil and a few other bits and bobs......which I can`t remember As for cambelt, that should have been done around the 60k mark anyway

230 ish doesnt seem to bad *sigh* more money gone that could be spent on fueling it haha :P

also another thing i was wondering is how much are you looking at for a new clutch and fitting? my car is 68k miles and on the orig clutch as far as i know :/

I`ve just had a standard Exedy fitted to mine. Clutch £258 and labour £120. That was at NKS in Wrexham mate.

that sounds pretty reasonable tbh i was expecting like 500 area. Do they have a good reputation? i really have trust issues with garages. also wonder how long i will get out of the standard clutch if it has been treated well before me owning it etc.

I have the exact same car good choice .
I will be taking it to Silverstone Autosport as to keep up with its service history and also they good guys down there and i know they will look after her.

i was just wondering how much likely to be before i go down there as i need to save up xmas skinted me .

i dont mind it just means im learning more

£230 sounds ok not to scary lol
my cambelt was changed about the 43k /5 year service so this would be its second cambelt change that is due now i guess. my clutch was changed in 2010 so thats ok no slipping etc.
think im just going to have to take the car down and all my paper work and let silverstone work it out lol

I know NKS charge around £200 for a cambelt so I`d imagine a bit dearer at Silverstone....VAT and all that
