hey hamster, been looking for a type r but this came offered to me on pistonheads against my ppp. crazy short gearing i know, is it worth a punt?

Model code points to a V2 Sti or 555 RA, so you're correct there.
Not sure what a VF33 is doing on there, thats a Legacy TT turbo?
In a word, no its not "worth a punt" unless he's giving you cash + the car. V2 is an old Impreza on a N reg proberbly, do you really want that?
IMO I would hold out for a type R

555 are not RA's.
The model code you gave relates to a STI V2 or a STI V2 555.
If it has a roof vent it's more than likely a 555, if it doesn't then it's a STI V2 that someone has resprayed.
It doesn't have crazy short gear ratios like an RA either chap.
