perspex/polycarbonate windows

Mine are screwed into the door frames. Fronts have brackets mounted outside to prevent the wind from catching them (hold them closed tight) and the rears have x 2 U shaped mounts rivetted into the window with velcro fastened around the cage to do the same.

i had the lexan ones. the best stuff. they look great for a while but unless its covered up on a trailer, towed to the track, used and covered up again they WILL scratch. mine looked awful as i used it on the road for 2 months in the rain and salted roads.

I think I'd be ok, car is kept in a heated garage and only ever comes out on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
I'm more concerned with draft and wind noise, interested in seeing these brackets.

I'm interested in brackets also.
Don't know if I should diy the windows or not. 400+ for a couple of bits of plastic is a bit steep, even though the hassle factor may make it worth it.

If you bought a flat peice of lexan dosnt matter how good you cut they wont fit properly as the curve on the supplied one's from p4p is an exact fit .

OP: fix them up, polycarbonate (tradename Lexan) windows arent durable enough to withstand sliding up and down. Even ridiculously expensive Margard polycarbonate wont hold up for long.
Acrylic (tradename Perspex) is far more durable, but its not as strong as polycarbonate although its many, many times stronger than glass.
PC covered in film will fare better, but youll still want to change it before the year is out.

but if ure still having to make brackets to keep front windows tight to stop wind catching at speed and noise whats the point in paying the mega price for the windows that have the curve so match the standard windows dont see the problem with making ure own if still having to fix them this way ill soon find out what there like as ive made my own and have fixed 2 brackets onto the windows and 2 brackets on inside of the car and used wee clutch springs to clip on to window and bracket
