Hiya guys, just bought an engine for my wrx project, i bought it as just a tubo lump but having looked at the paperwork for the car it was in it says it has had an sti engine fitted a couple of years ago.
Just wondering how i can tell if it is or not?
would be a nice bonus if it was.

Does it have a red inlet manifold? Pink injectors?

what year car?? check for hatching marks on the block.

Doesnt have the red inlet, havent looked at injectors yet though, wondering if the block is STI though really.

well the car the engine is in was a non turbo originally but was converted, its same engine as my 98 impreza though with coil pack in the centre, just wondering if block is sti, what hatchings am i looking for and where??
