Newbie....Blob GX Sport.
Hey guys been on the forum for a while now but thought i'd make my first post. Been a huge fan of Impreza's for a few years now and I've been saving roughly for a year to buy a GX sport blob. Currently a student 21 so WRX is out of the question due to running costs and insurance. Need to build myself some NCB. Just wanted to ask if the Sport it a good all round car to own. I'm quite worried about the 124hp output which seems quite low for a 2L car. But I think i'll go for it anyway and enjoy it. Any good experiences you guys had with a sport?
Many thanks!
Many thanks!

It's fine, just two things:
A: Do not go for a passenger ride in any WRX's or STIs
B: Do not spend thousands modifying the sport, spoiler / bonnet / alloys maybe but stop there and wait til you can afford a WRX or STI
Take if from me, I own a highly modified GL, and because I didn't do the above I want a turbo version but can't let my GL go.

Oh Geeez, here we go again...lol
Welcome to the forum mate from a fellow GX Blobeye owner. Be prepared to hear a variety of opinions about the car you have chosen. Some you will find positive and also negative.
As a Sport owner I can inform you straight up that yes, the 2.0L engine is sluggish in comparison to other marques as you will no doubt hear. But you need to just remind yourself why you chose the car you have-
If you chose it because you love Imprezas and figured it would be a good step onto the Subaru Ownership Ladder then I'd say you made a good choice!
Enjoy it! It will serve you well until you reach a time when a turbo model becomes more feasible!

Welcome Zogbee.
I started just as you are, but 25 years later. I tend to get there eventually.
I loved my bugeyed gx sport, but it was a short union.
There's been a bit of of a hoo ha on here lately, as you'll have read no doubt.
Don't understand all the fuss and hot air.
It's a Scoob, it's yours, smile and enjoy the experience.
