Is there anyway? I'm the 3rd owner since my scoobs been in the UK, last owner was my boss (4 owners in total). Is there any way to find out how to contact the previous owner before my boss? I would like to ask him about the cambelt as I've had a look and it looks almost new and has been changed in the past as there is blue paint on the camshaft pulley and the casing. Belt looks fine.

Their details will be on the v5c but not email, only postal addy

 

If he bought the car from his boss, he would be the previous owner on the V5, at least that's the way I read it.

Well I will send him a letter but Im hoping the cambelt was done by him, if not then Japan here I come.

 

If R4CS has just bought the car off his boss the log book will still have the previous owners details on
I am assuming he has only just bought it due to join date and post count
I would like to think he took a photocopy of the V5c before he sent it to DVLA while waiting for his copy just in case

3 years? Okay, I got told by some other people 6 years. I probably will do it in the summer.

 

If you need info on all previous keepers then the dvla will provide it but I think there is a small cost involved, I did it with an old mini a few years back and ended up visiting the original owner and getting a few photos, was well worth it to see the expression on his face after seeing his old car again
