be careful with some of the adapters on ebay, some are cheap for a reason! (I got one for my mondeo st and it wouldnt work, turns out the particular type I bought isnt fully obd compliant)

Got a different type which works perfectly and torque is a great app (get the paid version for more features)

Anyone tried the hardware from PLX?
I've been thinking about them for gauges also...

its called torque and it connects to the obd2 port via a bluetooth adaptor. so if your car has this port it should work

I use Rev for the iPhone (pretty much the same app but for iPhone) and use it with a £20 wifi adaptor from eBay with no problems.

yep it works well for me. I like the recorder function too. I use it on my S2 with a cheap elm obd dongle from amazon £20ish IIRC.
I use it mainly for the mpg and data logging as the realtime gauges are a bit too laggy to be useful.

Very unlikely, as classic's are not OBDII.

Have just set up my (standard) 01 wrx wagon on torque pro. Mint. Have it on my android tablet with loads of tuning stuff like afr, boost, temps etc. Also have it on my phone so when I'm driving normally it gives me a great fuel computer. If I flick upwards on the screen it gives me boost/vac and "horsepower" readout. Only just played a bit but it's good so far.

Short drive, 34mpg is not so bad i think

Whist driving a bit harder

Anyone fancy creating a theme with green numbers and a red needle to match my dash ? I have neither the skill or patience to even try .

I'm not an iFail user, but I think that oLD needs to connect via WiFi as it does not work on Bluetooth. A lot of android apps are written in linux and ported to android then built from there up. Apple charge app developers to make apps so often they don't bother.
If you don't have an android phone, maybe buy a cheap 7" android 4.0 tablet, and a dash / windscreen mount and use it for the sole purpose of torque. They are less than 50 quid. Make sure it is fully market compatable though.
Also. I have the elm 337 1.5 full size ons adapter (orange and blue sticker) and it works fine but sticks out of my port under the steering wheel and I bash my knees on it whilst getting in and put the car. There are mini versions available, I have just ordered one. I'll leave it plugged in and it will sit in the recess for the port. I'll use my full size one on other vehicles. Not essential but for the sake of a tenner I'll just leave a mini one plugged in all the time.
There may be an iOS version out there. Don't take my word for it.
