Booked in 08/02 with Duncan at Race Dynamix for a custom remap on the scoob , newage wrx mapped live on the road and having launch control mapped in, can't wait with my mods, been told to expect 275bhp - 280bhp £350 all in,

Should I expect quite a difference once done ?

05 blob wrx

Surely the launch control only restricts revs in first, nice to have but doesn't mean it'll get used much seeing as its not costing any extra?

i think he means the 5 speed box is a known weak point of the wrx and launching it from a standing start will only shorten its life.

Yeah true I understand that and I have only ever launched it twice from 4k revs in my 9 months of ownership, but if it's a free option to have mapped in, surely it's worth it, even if the rev limit it set to just 3'000 - 3'500 revs instead if the 4'500 that launch is usually set to when mapped

yes if its fee,you would be silly not to have it and as your aware of the box issues and are careful should be fine.

the car should be great to drive after a map you will notice the difference!

I'm hoping I notice a decent difference to be honest, I'm sure I will

you will the boost will come in earlier and hold better and will be and all round more driveable car.
you picked a reputable scooby mapper so it will be money well spent and you may even get a bit more mpg.

Yeah Duncan said the mpg may increase slightly, this probably due to having more power available more often, looking forward to it loads

I had my last classic remapped @ Powerstation. It's about a 60 mile drive.

Wow! What a different ride home. Went from 215 to 273bhp/273lbft.

Huge difference - big smiles
