Default Gauges and security

In the middle of installing a Defi turbo gauge and it dawned on me how appealing and easy it would be for someone to come along and take the gauge, as it's always clearly on show and very easy to remove

What can be done about this? Superglue the gauge into the pod or some other way of making it harder to just pull out?

It's a shame you can't just pull them out n push them back in when needed, like a stereo facia.. Hmm maybe I'm on to something... Copyright

Not wuite the same as 'push to fit' but i suppose it's an idea

Wouldn't be needed with the defi as you could just unplug the gauge but would be worried about it wearing the connector out eventually

I know what you mean, i had a massive boost gauge on my skyline + a snooper on show and came back one day to find a screwdriver hole in my door luckily they hadnt got in, still cost me a fortune to get the damage fixed! And this was on my works car park.
Not a lot you can do really other than make sure you leave as little as possible in your car and wipe that circle off your windscreen that a satnav leaves behind, tell tale sign you got one in the glove box

My gf insists on leaving her car unlocked all the time! Her theory was if its unlocked they might not break the window or screwdriver the door. It didnt work they ninja rocked the window anyway!

@winston 69, my gauges are bolted into the pod. this is how they came!

how about using one of those connecters that go in the boot for the light? (not the type that sticks up and then gets pushed down when you close the boot,)
not sure if they are on scoobys without looking, but im sure if you go to a breakers you can find one. you could file out a groove in the housing, and glue the other side to the gauge!!!!
wire one side of wires to the housing and the wires on the gauge to the the gauge.
only problem is if you have a vacum hose like i do on mine???
