Unless you are very good at doing the metal work, its not worth buying as the cost of putting that back in the road would be astranomical plus it looks like the damage has intruded into the engine bay by the damage to the alternator.

Its the parts, you cannot get them (front wings were like 2k each ) so would have to be hand made, plus the car would be a cat c, that drops the value dramatically, though i doubt most of the bidders would understand that unless they were hardened scooby nuts with alot of experience behind them.

INSURANCE PAYOUT VALUE OVER £35,000

What makes them so special?
You could have a fairly newish Type 25 for that kind of money which would be better in every way.

Its a perfect buy if u want a 22b to keep for long term as an investment forget it.As when people come to view they go over them with a fine tooth comb.If they have the wrong filter or exhaust it puts them off never mind a cat c and fibre glass panels.

Id be worried that the damage has since been prettied up...and personally I would have wanted it raw. Now its got a screen and the roof re-shaped... but wonder if it's been tugged and to what extent (...and how i.e with a fork lift or measured???!)

Agree with Fud there, your not going to make any money out of repairing it with genuine parts and cheap replica parts would ring alarm bells straight away if it were to be put up for sale after the repair, I even think the £9600 is sold for was a tad too much(is that including auction costs, vat etc?.....), Be nice to have it as a keeper though
