22b wheel offset
#1
I know that the BBS alloys on my 22b are 17 x 8.5, but could anyone advise me what the offset is as I am planning to buy another set and will not pay £1,000 + Vat from IM for each one.
Thanks

Geoff P,
Place a straight edge across the outer rim of the wheel, and measure from the hub attachment flange (the face of the wheel which touches the brake hub)up through the hole in the middle of your wheel to the straight edge.
This wil give you the offset measurement.
Alternatively, place the wheel flat on a flat surface (dining room table, without a cloth on, just make sure the wifes out), and measure again down from the hub attchment face of the wheel down to the table.
Be aware, if you choose the second method, any wheel balancing weights attched to the rim may effect your measurements, as they will lift the wheel up from your tempoaray surface table.
Given that you are possesion of the genuine wheels, taking your own measurement has got to be more accurate than somebody elses figures, possibly taken from a book etc.
Whatever wheel you choose to replace your originals with, should have the same measurement, then you know everything will be ok.
