Default Ht autos splitter

Hi all my ht autos p1 splitter turned up today and the quality is really good, I'm just wondering whether it needs priming or can I just spray it and lacour it?
It's black plastic.

you will need to apply primer to it to get a really good finish ? you need to sand to create a key for the paint and you wont be able to do it with plastic and get a good finish ? with the primer also it can flex without cracking off or splitting .

You need to apply plastiprimer before a 2K primer mate else it will start to peel because it will not adhire properly.

Is that a halfords job or b&q? I have the 406 silver spray but didn't come with primer.

A rattle can job never looks as good as letting the pro's do it IMHO.........worth the pennies to be done properly

I wouldn't paint it. Imo they look good in PU and the paint finish would not last long due to speed bumps ,multu story car parks and stone chips.

i was well pleased with mine , though it came in grey primer so you wont have any choice other than to paint. (i asked HT Autos not to prime it but they said no)

You are spot on with what you wrote but why put in question marks between sentences for no reason?

to the o.p , if you do want a decent finish with rattle cans then really you will need to buff it after the clear with a cutting compound . i use one called g6 its expensive but really works well
