Default Exhaust advice please!

Hi folks, Ive just picked up a new wrx sti sedan type, and I would like to get a little more noise out of her, not too much but enough to hear a nice rumble. I have looked at a Miltek cat back system and have been told that they wouldnt remove the cat, does anyone have one fitted and if so, do you still get a decent sound.

Im looking at a fairly hefty price for this system so I need some advice, also if anyone can recommend anything different, im all ears....

Cheers all

I didnt bother remapping my 2005 blob STi when I changed the Prodrive exhaust for a Blitz Nur Spec R. Two years on, no problems :-)

Hi I have a Miltek sports cat back system, does have the burble not as loud as my old car which had a 4 1/2 inch backbox (which became a real pain on motorway or long run the thrumming noise got to me)
Where the Miltek scores with me is nice tootling round with a lovely sound when you open her up.
Also look up the new regs re exhausts without a cat (fail someone said even if pass emissions) that come into effect in April I believe sports cat may comply unless you are one of those hands on types that dont mind putting cats on and off just for mot.
