Default Whats a Bugeye WRX Worth - With or Without Mods

Hi Guys

Im in the process of going 320BHP on my bugeye but im weighing up the costs of what i have already spent etc. Im now thinking of going for an STI

So whats a 2001 Bug worth ?

95H
52,0000 miles Roughly
5 owners ( i think )

I have all the bills even the original recipet of the purchase of the car from new. Every test sheet, tax disc and so on. There is loads of history with the car.

Cam belt has been done and i have also change the Engine oil, gear box oil, diff oil and coolant with top quality gear all paper work to prove.

At the moment mods are as follows

Walbro Pump
Cobra 3" Turbo Back System ( de-cat ) Up pipe still standard
K & N Panel Filter
GFB BOV
Re-map by Duncan running rough guess 270bhp
Prodrive Springs ( New rear shocks )
Grooved discs all round & New pads
STI Boot Lid
STI Genuine Spoiler
STI Bonnet Scoop
Blobeye Rear Lights
Blobeye Rear Bumper
2002 Front Bucket seats
De-tango Front Lights
Perring Intercooler Kit ( Y Hose and Inlet Hose )

yet to be fitted

STI Intercooler
STI Under Tray
Pink Injectors

All of the above has been done since i have owned the car, the car was box standard when i purchased apart from the Tracker of which just needs activating.

Now my question is would it be worth putting the car back to standard or selling it as it is, i still have all the origanal parts apart from the front seats.

What is the going rate for a mint bug with the mods or without the mods.

regards

colin

If selling, I'd put it back to as standard a condition as you can. You'll get nowhere near the cost of the mods on the car as a whole, BUT if you sell the mods seperately and the car standard you will get more.

Best of luck.

Why leave the restrictive up-pipe on with a de-cat ?

£3K as is, £3k std... but sell the bits, and then buy an STI for £4.5K

Sorted !

Nick 172 tried to sell his bug for £2k, Borderline Chris also tried at £2.4K......unloved Bug, No Brembo's, no 6 speed, no othjer STi bits (apart from rear spoiler)..... 5 owners, not 02C, phase 1 bodyshell.....

I'd start at £2.5k and be prepared to haggle.

would rather keep it after all the hassle i have been through with it then sell it for £2500. seen the trader an they are going for £3500 i did a check with car people and they would do £2750 on px

i have spent more than that just in bits and bobs, yea i know that you dont get much extra for mods but £2000 is taking the p**s....

the more i think about it the more i would prefer to keep it. Yea its a money pit but im just about there may carry on and finish my project.....

anyway either 1 owner or 5 owners i have shed loads of paper work to back it all up....

what is the problem with people on this forum there is also someone that likes to pull your pride and joy down.

the car is over 10 years old for god sake! i have had it just over a year and the guy before had it just over a year and so on.......................

come on!

I'm not trying to pull you down, I've got a bug WRX myself and just can't bring myself to sell it as they just don't pull in a lot of money.

I either have to sell it and accept the loss or drive it into the ground and let it go when it's virtually worthless.

You posted on a public forum asking what you thought your car was worth. See post 9 at what one actually sold for and that was some time ago..

All IMHO
