I had a set the same (which I recently sold on here) on my classic wagon with 4 pots... that was tight so Brembo's is a NO-GO.

Thing is, I got £100 inc. postage which I was happy with, so effectively approx £65 with P&P costs. This joker is getting a lot more due to lying IMHO and I feel for the poor sod who buys them if they try get them over any Brembos!

It says it will fit STi Classic and they will, Its not my ad by the way but it also says nothing about the newage cars anywhere in the advert and if you type the newage details in the compatibility box it says they do not fit Newage STi

It says they came off an sti model, Turns out to be his mates sti which isn`t the car they originaly came off, they are newage wrx wheels, I agree its a bit misleading but i dont think he/she`s trying to rip anyone off IMO

Bug WRX wheels have parallel spokes and smooth rims..............the Bug STi has slightly divergent spokes with dimples on the rims designed to attract dirt and drive the owner to use a toothbrush LOL

I agree with Gaz2293, his list of compatible cars is correct.
Anyone who has fitted bigger BRAKES has a duty of care to make sure the wheels he buys WILL fit.
Those wheels WILL fit over newage Brembos at the rear, but NOT the front.
He is, in fact, doing nowt wrong.

PS: I think they are my old wheels Check out the centres?

He lists them as original STI, 93 on - these were never fitted as OE to any STI so the sub-title is misleading.

The point is they will fit classic STI so he has done nothing wrong, however they r not OEM classic STI wheels, leave him to it.

Split comments but having read the advert again I still think of it is indeed just mis leading then it's done with intent over just a general mistake. Like when advertisers claim their wrx classic is an STi because it may have a couple of parts. Sorry I'm not changing my mind on this one.

Jeff, no idea if they're your old wheels mate, in Scunthorpe though?? Also ate you using spacers on the front?

He is either a conman or a moron, here's my Q&A on ebay...

Those wheels will not fit straight over my OE Brembos, but the bonus is I have 6-pots and not 4-pot Brmebos

i asked his question aout the fact they wont clear brembos and got this back:
Hi, Thanks for clearing that up. As advertised tho these wheels are from 93- and some classic shape STI's did come with these wheels as standard and were also fitted to some new age WRX models. These particular wheels came off a friends STI classic shape who did have brembo brakes fitted, this is were i maybe lost track of the original question as to if these will fit with brembo brakes. because these are advertised for 93- i assumed the question was directed at a classic model and is why i asked if the brakes were standard or aftermarket as i know all newage sti have brembo as standard. But thanks for the info to clear this issue up, i will not assume in future.cheers.

Spacers? (shudder) no mate.

I have Godspeed's smaller Brembo calipers on the front. I don't think Ian does them now, but they allow the same size disc as the larger ones, but DO fit under WRX wheels.

TBH I think the guy is clueless - these never have been Gen Spec STI wheels and were never fitted to classics - these are newage (bug and blob) WRX wheels that do not fit over any factory Brembos.

He has since come back to me and said that these will not fit over newage brembos only classic STI brembos

It's a shame he doesn't post his answers in the listing
