personally no i wouldnt put it on as its mapped for its current air/fuel ratio and adding an air filter will change the set up and may cause the engine management light to come on and not run the same as it did

Thats what i thought , but when my mechanic looked at the engine he said all this needs is a better air filter to help it breath.
But i didnt tell him it was mapped , maybe thats why he said it?

Lol typical 'mechanic' small talk tbh, well meaning but inaccurate Buy a green panel or cosworth panel filter if you must.

Ok cheers think i will leave the air filter then.
I have a decat down pipe to put on aswell that came with the car, do u lot think its worth putting this on for the extra bhp?
Or leave it as i will have to pay before and after mot to put on/off?

Yeah, they are pretty easy - drop in replacement for the standard air filter, couple of clips on the side of the airbox usually. I swapped mine for a Pro-R uprated air filter, which is similar to the others listed above, K&N, Green, Cosworth etc i think
