NOT YOUR 'NORMAL' FUEL CONSUMPTION THREAD...
For those of you that aren't financially sensitive lol, roughly what percentage of your monthly take-home income (net lol) do you spend on fuel per month?
Don't need to quote any £s as such; just the percentage (plus car model / power / ave. monthly mileage / ave. fuel cons. / fuel type @ ppl).
Should make for some interesting reading...
I'll start the ball rolling:-
- STi 5
- 384 bhp
- c. 350 miles
- c. 19 mpg*
- V-Power SUL @ 141.9 ppl
- c. 7%
* I think my Lambda sensor might be failing - used to get 21-23mpg on mixed driving. But it could be the colder weather to blame. I'll wait for better ambients to see if it changes. If it doesn't improve, then I'll check the O2 sensor's voltages...)

^^^ 400 miles @ 26MPG on £1.41 a litre costing 1.7% of salary, I work that out to be around £4,500-£5,000 take home per month as a salary, with an 00 car??? If i earned that much i'd be driving a much nicer car than i do!

I've had it alot of years and still really like it. I can't afford anything better anyway, 10 years ago I got bitten by the rally bug, you think Subaru's are a bottomless pit you should take rallying up as a hobby.

Sorry stevo, I should have made it clearer in my thread opener (I didn't even think of/consider that scenario )...
It's just net income of solely the car's owner/driver i.e. of one salary.
But I guess for some that share the car, that's a 'problem'.
So, for those of you like stevo, can you mention in your post that it's a combined income to prevent confusion/envy!

When i got my car first i calculated out a tank while "spirited" driving and got below 10mpg
Then done a economy tank and could only manage 16mpg while rolling about the place....
Must be something wrong with my car!!

Ha! Thats less than my M3 did while hooning around the Nurburgring!! I used to get 23 average out of it. Then 30mpg out of my Audi S3 (approx 250bhp). Its a compromise we're all happy to make though eh!
