Default another car jack

At about 7pm heard shouting and wheel spins, turns out a gang of men followed a woman on me street hme, waited for her to get in the house and as she did the forced her door open took the keys to her brand need my61 Audi Q5 and drove of, can't believe it, I feel for her as I am I'm shock just listening about it especially when the copper knocked on the door and told us,
MY VIEW IS SPEND A FEW HUNDRED POUND AND GET THE ANTI HI JAX BY CLIFFORD AND A TRACKER, all stay safe especially if u drive a Audi, heard of 5 cat Jack's on Audi s over the last 4 months.

The blackjack only works if the door is opened while the car is running, so given they jack you up in your house, it's no use.

As for tracker, they are rubbish unless they are GPS. A tracker only tracks when a relevant vehicle has the tracking device and is within a certain distance.

Just watch your back and set your car alarm, maybe a wheel lock/steering lock too if you don't have one. Or step your game up and get a fuel cut of switch, something like that.

Thanks

blackjax works everytime the door is opened or even if the engine is switched off so if they take your car keys from your house and then take your car blackjax will still work

Black jax work even if the car has been started u have to put the combination in before a minutes up or the car will turn of, so wen they took her keys it would of let the gang drive for a minute then turn off but after 30 second they would of got a warning and the brake lights start flashing telling the car behind that it's going to come to a stop, it also activates once the door has opened and closed and then the brake pedal pressed. Great system as I have had them on all my cars

Must be a system you can rig up that cuts the fuel if you dial a certain mob number or something? I bet you could do it DIY with relay and an old phone. Just issue would be batteries on that phone. Maybe some off the shelf system?

It's one good reason to drive a car with a nasty button clutch or triple/twin plate. Most thiefs would stall it trying to drive it away. Add a 2 way diff and your almost thief proof.

If they want the car they'll take it.
Anti-hijack, alarms, trackers will only slow them down if they know what they are doing.

Mate got tapped up **** recently in Fenny Stratford in is rs4 by a transit van. When he got out he got smacked across head and dropped to floor. They drove off in his car leaving the van. So jumped in the van and drove to police station. plod were trying to do him for driving a stolen van.
So puts me off buying one

There's a lot to be said for driving a POS these days! My wife drives a £500 golf gti 16 valve and although it's not the safest car in the world in a crash she isn't going to get car jacked for it!

Sad but that's the times we are living in and they target women and that's just sick

Thats only now paulo, when the golf gti was released it was a great car ,but its demise came when people started taking them without paying for them ,which saw my sierra cosworth go from a group 6 insurance to a whopping great group 20 literally overnight. An old golf is not as quick as a corsa vxr so it does not really appeal to car thieves of today, but 20 yrs ago it was top of the tree.

Too right and to be honest it's actually a good car and I tend to use the golf instead of my Subaru or M3 where I can because I like it and I can leave it anywhere without worrying

Sierra cosworth you say Now you're talking

We used to fit Toad's text alert system, which you could wire to remotely disable the car via text. It was a good alternative to blackjaxx which can be an annoying royal pain in the **** at times. But its been a while though, so not sure if they are still available. We've fitted a few ScorpionTrack GPS trackers, which on the face of it appears to be a cheaper option to the "official" subscription Trackers (as in the company called Tracker UK Ltd ). Not bad, but unlike the Toad text alert, there's no auxillary output, so can't be wired to disable the car via a sms text command.
