Don't have pictures, but get a Kenwood unit.
I had a DDX5022BT unit in my last 05 STI.

dont worry about it sitting out to far mate. there will be plenty of room for adjustment on your cage to get the fit you need/want.

Anyone successfully fitted a eBay "Erisin" double-DIN HU into a MY99/00's double-DIN aperture?
Any pitfalls to look out for?

I had an xtrons unit fitted when I got the car and the previous owner hacked the surround to pieces. I then bought another surround and bought a decent stereo, Kenwood one and it was spot on.
Those xtrons ones are cheap for a reason.

The pioneer ones fit just behind the surround facia no need to hack it away.

Its a
DNX5220 .
To Be honest, I haven't used the TV, I got it as an add-on which connects to the back of the Head unit. Got loads of optional extras.
GPS/SatNav is a Garmin, and is both accurate and quick to locate satellites. Equal to my old TomTom easily.

handsfree blutooth iphone connect, superior sound quality
and to be honest ive dealt with ice for years now and the alpines were the best until the newer models came out. you need the oddesy box to get the best sound out of them which is an extra cost and another unit in car.
pioneers are taking over alpines with sound quality if u buy a good one. the best one on the market at the moment for ME would be the AVH-2400BT or the one with sat nav aswell, but i dont need as ive got it on iphone speaks through the sterio while the music is playing

laza, thanks a lot.
So the unit didn't come with a TV tuner
built-in (or indeed as an add-on already bundled with it in the box)? You have to get an add-on, separately?

Yeah, its got all the connections and ports for millions of ad ons, kenwood just want to fleece you for what they can.
Mine came with ipod connection and control, in the box, and got a cash deal (
) for the tv tuner.
No prob mate.

Yeah, these double DIN units crack me up with their veritable plethora of AV ins/outs. But it's great - I love it.
