Exhaust

As a first time subaru owner I am very happy with the car. It came with a PPP & the exhaust noise is ok but a little understated for my liking, this was more exacerbated when a Wagon came past my home & sounded awesome! If I want more grunt & volume what would I be looking at & how, but I don't want to get into issues of the car failing the MOT due to excessive noise or emission issues etc.
Hope I'm making myself clear. Appreciate any advice from you guys.

Ninja II is a good middle of the road backbox. You get a nice rumble when at idle and a good bit of shout when you apply the right foot. Not as loud as the neighbour waker otherwise known as the Blitz Nur Spec, but more potent that the standard exhausts you get.
You also get an extra 50hp as well

Is there any noticable difference in the Afterburner & Ninja 2 backbox or is it just a case of preference. They come in at the same price'ish at scoobyworld. Afterburner is looking favourite though.
Is Scoobyworld the best place to go. I don't mind travelling Wigan to Leics if the service and price are good & competetive. The reviews appear to be very good for both company & exhaust.
Does anyone know if I can get one fitted in the North West area & for what price
Cheers

In a word YES I have had both systems and the ninja2 is a good compromise for someone who wants a system that is not to ott. A real nice bassy note on tickover and a real growl when giving it some. Incidentally I never used the bung once with this backbox.
The afterburner vortex is louder and better flowing due to its angled exit and vortex baffle.
The posts above that say this backbox is not loud
must be running with all std cats in coz fully decatted it is loud. Not blitz nur spec loud
, but not to far off especially on tickover. I am on my 3rd vortex and it is a big difference in noise compared to a prodrive backbox(had one of these as well). Early morning / late nights I tend to find myself using the bung to quiet things down a tad. ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
If I decide that the vortex is to much one day, then i shall be opting for a ninja2 again or a miltek system(which I sold one 4 months ago

I have an afterburner vortex on my 06 STi and with the cats in it sounded just right. Lovely low dowm rumble. Since decatting though I find it too loud. Dont get me wrong, it sounds awesome in the right circumstances (ie travelling to a meet with others) but for day to day its too much so I am changing it but have the same dilema, as I still want the flat four sound but quieter. Been looking at the TSL group N and scoobyworld Racebox, but sounds like I should look at the Ninja awell.

As mentioned I have had both vortex an currently have ninja 2. Vortex is loud when decatted but again as mentioned not tot like the gorgeous sounding blitz. Vortex has the great deep rumble an you know when it's on it's way. Ninja I have is a nice compromise of not ott but a nice rumble and it's got a good noise when you accelerate.
I am however using the scoob as a 2nd car so I am looking to change from a ninja 2 to a vortex angled if anyone is interested!?!
Both boxes are really good though, you will smile with either of them fitted.
