Default Spraying wheels, white or grey primer?

Hi Guys

Wheels are looking awful and it's going to be a month or two until i can afford a nice set of 18's + rubber, so for now i'm going to give them a home refurb in black, but any advice on best primer to use, white or grey? I've done a few sets of wheels in past and whilst not perfect, they look 100 times better when finished, ive always used white primer but would grey be better, i have a weekend to spare so thought i'd give them a bit of elbow grease with the wet & dry and a tidy up. Any help with the primer is appreciated, just a temporary solution until i get my new wheels!

Cheers

best to use an etch primer first, done a few sets myself and always use etch primer and then whatever other primer ive got left, tbh dont think it matters too much but use the primer nearest the colour youre going to paint. for yellows and reds which are bad colours for coverage defo use white

Couple of coats of etch primer first, then some normal grey primer on top. Flat any bits out then paint.
