Spec C Type 20 Power Graph
Does anyone have a graph showing torque and power curves for a 2006 Spec C Type 20?
I know the headline figures are 345 / 340 but I'm interested to see what the curves look like.
Does anyone know what the max boost is and where it is acheived?

I've got 3 graphs from a 53 plate 2003 Spec C ltd, 2 litre
1. Mapped with standard equipment for UK fuel when entered the UK
2. Mapped with the Type 20 performance pack, i.e Miltek Sports CAT and Panel filter change.
3. Finally, 3 port solenoid added and map tweeked by Bob Rawle, the car is mapped on 97 ron/octane fuel for convenience, though i always put in 99ron
With a FMIC and 99ron fuel maybe 370 and a bit would be possible??
Andrew
Sorry i have no maps for a hawkeye

ps in hindsight a little less boost with less of a spike would be better.

1.55 bar is what I think the Type 20 map would be. The boost / power figures are the way they are because of the small size of the turbo.
And due to their small size not much really happens above 1.6 bar anyway. Iv tried it at 1.7 bar and you do get a bit more torque but not really worth the risk IMO.

Thanks for the information - good to know.
I've heard of people pushing the standard turbo to 370 bhp, I assume that is at 1.7 bar?
When you say not worth the risk, I assume you mean that the turbo isn't reliable much above 1.6 bar?

I would like to see a rolling road graph of 370bhp from a reputable dyno that has has seen that kind of figure more than once.
In the last 6 years Shaun and Bob have manged to get approx 370bhp once or twice. But if you look at all other figures for the Spec C / JDM Sti (VF36/37) and most peoples experiences have been between 330 to 350bhp. That is the norm.
