help to identify a wire

Default help to identify a wire

im still having a nightmare of stripping out the standard alarm system ive got it all pulled out found one immobilizer cut no problem car wont start ive found one wire that when i put a live to it the car runs fine i cant find what were it does or come from

the plug is down the side of the drivers seat on the inner sill wounded if anyone new were about it comes from

in this pic its the bottom left white and black



and this is were it fits and is the single wire bottom right

Might help to know the model, but my guess would be that its related to the fuel pump.

It's the fuel pump feed that's been cut
Get a tester and probe other side of plug your looking for a wire that goes live for a few seconds when the ign goes on and should go to earth until you crank the car over at which point it will go live again
To make sure you have the correct wire unplug the fuel pump relay and Carry out above test again wire should not go live at any point

If I put a live to that wire then the car starts its a 2002 wrx bugeye what I can't find is the other side of it heading towards the fuse box area

Fuel pump controller, but not sure where that's located?

Hmm...which I think is in the rear of the car, in which case it probably goes to the ecu.
