listen for knocking from the rear shock absorbers on the test drive

check for the usual things as you would any other car,

earlier cars weren't widetrack and didn't come with a dccd gearbox or a facelift interior. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly to help you out more

Wheel pcd changes to 114 in the widetrack blobeye sti onwards. Chances are, if it has a dccd it will be widetrack and use 114 pcd wheels.

55 plate onwards for the widetrack. Only a few blobeyes were made like this as the hawkeye was released not long after (06).

Interior is the same as the hawkeye except the dials are still green in the blobeye rather than red.

The widetrack model has a few upgrades but visually there is only a small difference in the arches as they are slightly widened. If you want dccd in a blobeye then you will get all of the added benefits of the widetrack etc.

If you can find one, then the dccd is worth the investment alone. The only downside to these cars are that the pcd makes it hard to find second hand wheels (if you want different ones).

the dashboards look different, as the facelift dash looks the same as in a hawkeye

how much realistically am i gonna be looking to pay for one

infact if anyones got a blown up one id happily buy it and rebuild the motor just for my trip to the ring!

its not gonna be an every day car

i want a tidyish one though

cheers

i like the idea of dccd so i can have some more **** end out action but if price difference is around 3 or 4 grand what are the downsides to having an early one and no dccd?
