250-300 vmax! You need a Pro Street dragster, not an Impreza!

250-300bhp is the bracket for the Impreza's OEM smallest turbo fitment: the TD04L. Usually makes c.280 after a remap, with best possible spool.

And any other OEM fitment turbo will easily make 300+ after a remap.

Which model car have you got?

When these Americans quote WHP im presuming that means wheel horse power. If so those figures dont add up.
They say a vf43 will give 325 whp so add 28% and thats 416 bhp. What wheel do they mean or is that what they mean as on a dyno wheel / rollers? I doubt a vf43 will make 416bhp even if running 20% meth.

If you get an EcuTek remap on your OEM-fit front entry TD04L, you'll get around 280bhp.

That's a 30% increase over your stock 215bhp. Plus similar increase in torque and nicer drivability, throttle response, etc.

Just one thing: if the K&N is a cone - albeit it would be accounted/scaled for in the remap - then it's not needed at that level. Best to use a K&N panel in the OEM airbox. The OEM induction is actually tuned quite well (and sheilds from the underbonnet heat, etc). It certainly isn't a restriction for a TD04L.

US WHP is more like UK FWHP. They use Dynojet in the states which is not true
WHP, so I wouldn't read too much into what the yanks claim.

Yep, a Walbro 255 or HRC 255/290/340 fuel pump and a new set of sparks - NGK PFR7B - added to your mods will do it. Then get a reknowned mapper on here to map via EcuTek or Open Source.

It's an electronic means of changing the map in your OEM ECU, so as to optimise the power/torque/drivabiltiy that your mods can deliver - but in a safe manner to the workings of the engine.

Just a few off the top of my head..

Simon Roe @ Jolly Green Monster
Bob Rawle @ BR Developments
Pat Herborn (maps @ API & Scooby Clinic)
Paul Blamire @ Zen Performance
