little end ?
i toold my car to the garage today where they said it sounds like it has a little end rattle but i think otherwize, so a friend has agreed to lend me his garage and 4 poster ramp so i can haul the engine out and have a good look inside and replace what i need to, any advice would be appreciated as in what parts to buy and what too look out for. im going to try do this as cheap as possible ( i have only had the car a month

Tbho going about it to cheap will only end in another engine rebuild fella,if your going to do a engine overhaul then do it all so it doesn't have to be done twice and cost more than it has too!

Ive never known a small end fail, it's often mistaken for the big end, before pulling it out drain the oil through a clean cloth and check for copper shards, this would suggest big end failure.

yea i will drain the oil first, it rattles slightly at around 2-3.5 rpm but not on cold start? its an odd one. if worst comes to worst and its bottom end which i think is most likley what do i need to buy?
