The down pipe was longer to compensate for the difference. There's different types. Give Exhaust UK a call and they will point you in the right direction to meet youur requirements.

Welding is superior on the H&S, flanges are better quality and the fit and flow is better with H&S IMHO. And I have never had to bend a single hanger to make a H&S system fit !

I have exhaust parts from both suppliers and given the choice H&S is better. That doesn't mean Cobra are **** (far from it) or that I am knocking them, it just means IMHO I hold H&S in higher esteem for quality

They are high up on my custom exhaust parts suppier list. They shouldn't be confused with the generic ebay shyte you see banded about

I have a Cobra 200 cel sports cat downpipe & resonated centre section. Had to make slight ‘adjustments’ to make it all fit my car. That said the general quality is good and the customer service support from Cobra was very good. I was very unlucky with fitment problems, most bolt straight on with no issues from what I am told by others.

Would use them again!

You get what you pay for IMO.
'Usually' a £300 system won't be as nice quality as say a £500 system. Not saying a £300 system won't do it's job but higher quality demands a higher £££.

Where does the revolution system come as a comparison to these two systems mentioned ?

I need a quieter system for track and revolution seem to offer this in there product but what other more expensive system offers the reduced noise level but didn't compromise on quality ?

Iv got the Cobra track legal system on my 96 STI & would highly recommend it to anyone. The quality & fit are top notch & it sounds great without defening anyone.

Depends how you look at it. Used Cobra on my previous 700+ set up and it did the job. Shame they don't do a 3.5" system.

I've got a full Cobra decat with wrapped downpipepipe and 3" catback. The quality is very good, obviously not to H&S or Blitz standards but it's half the price of one of their systems. But hand on heart, the noise out the back of the exhaust is equally as good as any Blitz, H&S, STi or other system I;ve had over my four Imprezas. It is genuinely sublime and perfect for me.

Very good outfit who have luckily dismissed their old "Pimp my Ride" chav reputation. Certainly would recommend then if you weren't prepared to pay top money for other aforementioned brands

I don't doubt it

Cobra's my favourite at the minute. At the end of the day its a mandrel bent stainless exhaust, 316 steel like all the others. The welds are spot on, I cant imagine how they need improving. No signs of over temperature or splatter and certainly no pin holes. Flanges are more than suitable for the task and give a perfect seal when bolted up. Fitment was perfect, your always going to get the odd one that may need the odd tweak. The amount of exhausts they sell theres always going to be a few that slip through.

To be honest my car is running just over 300 bhp so 3" is probably over kill, 2.5" would have been more suitable but 3" was easier to source.
