I have a wrx 2005 I was thinking of a suspension upgrade because there seems to be a knocking coming from drivers side rear just new to scoobys so any help would be great

Have the same prob mate! 55 plate hawk, think its the shocks, they get dry and start jumping! People will say to get coilovers all round to solve the prob, but there fookin expensive!

This is a common problem especially with newage cars that subaru have never resolved. I have the same issue but if you check out Dave Hedgehog's comprehensive post that has been well researched I think you will find it very helpful & informative.

I have decided at the mo to get my mechanic to strip the rear struts down & fit grease nipples due to funds being low.

Cheers

they are expensive, but worth it.

I have BC coilovers. not too firm on the road, but handling is improved dramatically over standard setup.

plus, with a price of around £600-700, probably not that much more expensive than buying a new set of standard shocks, which will no doubt go wrong again.

bite the bullet, and do the right thing for your car...
