Help identifying car
Hey folks, I was Wondering if anyone could help clear up some confusion for me. I've recently been offered the chance to buy what I was told was a uk spec 2000 turbo scooby, but upon running a reg check it's come back as a Subaru impreza 22b-sti uk type. Can anyone help clear up what this car actually is?

pics would help
22b is a 2 door wide arch version of the impreza, i wouldn;t expect to see one for sale for under 20-25k.
exampel of a 22b

I just updated my second post, apologies for the double post in the first place, my browser was being an ***. Yeah thats whats confusing me, im aware they're 2 door, and wide arched, but this thing isn't, but it comes back on every check i do as a UK type 22b-sti? which is proving to be a pain, as the reg apparently doesnt exist according to confused.com (a problem i also had with my current car)

I'll add that its probably an EU import and its been registered as a 22B, easy enough to correct the insurance co's and if you get the car you just send the V5C back with the correct car details on it.

Hi,
Its definitely not a 22B as its got 4 doors and none of the 22B extras.
The details on the MID are:
Vehicle Make/Model: SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI (JAPANE
If the vehicle make and model details are not correct you must contact your insurance provider to resolve the issue.
I would have a look at the V5 but as Evo_Son has said plenty more scoobies out there
All the best,
Jeff

Ah thanks for the advice guys! It's just this one caught my eye as its got full service, it's only had a cat back put on to it, and has according to said checks has only done 54k! I mean I have every intention of remapping, and doing the needed modifications to try and get this up to the spec of other modded scoobys I see around. Would it be wiser to just look for a scooby that's already had more work done to it and forsake the low mileage?
Ha and yeah, the gold strips would be gone. I'm not particularly loving the gold speed lines either if I'm honest.
