I am travelling from notts to Swindon on friday.Never done this journey before is there anything to watch out for down this way ..UNMARKED POLICE CARS ETC ..FANCY NEW SPEED TRAPS/CAMERAS ????
I know in some parts of the country the police are right buggers

The A429 from J15 M40 to Cirencester has had some new speed cameras installed, they are clearly marked, apart from that it is a very good road with plenty of overtaking opportunities.

 

depending which way you go,M1 south by Leicester Forest East unmarked green scooby turbo, be careful its PLOD

 

Be careful around Swindon itself. Plod are having a bit of a crackdown at the moment. I've also seen an unmarked Supra on the A419 a few times...

Would say be careful on anyo of the main approach roads to Swindon at the moment, the 419, 420 and M4 have recently had regular police presence .

Can't really comment on the rest of the journey, though would reitterate, why would you want to go to Swindon????

 

I am going to see a friend who has just moved to Cirencester
I will be driving a DBM MY'00 with gold PD7'S
