v3 sti heads or standard-modified??
hey guys, just wondering what would be the best on a v1 cdb engine with forged internals.
the more "agressive" head with cams from a v3 sti
or
an aftermarket cam kit,although a mild one like tomei,(not a 272 lol).
i want that bit of extra power from the heads but dont want it to sound like a tractor either!
could i have a v3 head and cams modified with uprated valve springs and retainers and porting instead of going fully aftermarket.
what are your views guys?
cheers

V3 STI heads are well known to be the best for power gains on classics. At the level you are aiming for standard heads cams & valves would be sufficient. If it were me I'd save some money here to put into a fully forged build.
