If I change from bov to recirc do I need a remap?

Default If I change from bov to recirc do I need a remap?

I have a bailys dump valve (on when bought) and just wondered if I replaced it with a decent aftermarket recirc valve would I need a remap?? I have a simtec ecu if that matters. Thank you

If its been mapped with the VTA it will need a map tweak when you go back to re-circ to be safe.

depends if you are still running the standard MAF or not

ohhh god, its in the pile of bits on the garage floor how do i tell its the standard one? there is a three pin connector that goes into it but then further down the pipe there is a very strange sensor thats there too, this this is a two pin

sounds like thats the one...best bet would be to speak to your mapper to confirm though if a remap is required or not

I was advised that it would only want a tweak if it wasn't running right after going back to recirc.
