Lets say the car costs £10k in Japan. (FOB price) 2007 model +/- 1yrs

Shipping.. £850
UK Import duty ??%
VAT ( on £10k+shipping+import duty ???) = 20% of ???
IVA Test ??
MOT £50

Have I missed anything or got something wrong ?
I wouldn't do it myself but it would be useful to know what a JDM £10k car actually costs to be on the road in the UK. This gives me a base line as to what I can afford ...or not as the case may be !
Then I can find an importer with reasonable charges.

From when i was looking last year due to the exchange rate it was costing roughly 3-3.5K on a 10K car, To be honest i still look every now and again and i`m suprised how expensive they seem to be these days for a decent model.
