Default MOT question?

Got a 98 terzo with a decat pipe and what looks like a straight through pipe all way up to the back box.

Is this an MOT failure?
If I do need to fit a standard cat pipe on for MOT, will it affect my apexi ecu?

Yes, and you should be ok with Your apexi. It's only for the duration of the test

A good MOT'r would pass the car if you had a cat with you, I leave mine in the boot and as far as the mot'r is concerned it was fitted at the time of the test. A few cans of larger can help a great deal

this is why i chose to invest in a decent sports cat....saves all the hassle at mot time which i know is only once a year but seems to come round a bit quick.

Bought the car as it is but agreed sports cat is a good idea.

Now will go on the hunt for anyone wanting to lend me their standard cat for a week

Which one did you buy ?, i was going to get one but i have seen a few posts on here where their cars have still failed !
Is yours a long front pipe to replace the small section or a small standard downpipe.

I think sports cat is a replacement for downpipe but could be wrong
