1st Ecutek map would be around that as you have to pay for the licence as well as for the mappers time. Subsequent maps are cheaper as you are then just paying for the mapper's time and expertise. Some people get a car that already has a license so mistakenly believe that £300 is the norm, just because that's what they paid for their first map! There is a way to avoid paying the license fee by using opensource software to map..... but I'm not touching that hot potato of a topic with a barge pole!

I'm not too sure than there is an OS mapping system for the standard ECU, Ecutek may be your only option.

Yes but LM has a 2001 classic, so unless he goes for an ESL daughterboard (if they are available for a late classic) then Ecutek is the only other option.

Cheers guys

Lots of options for the 99/00 classic including the newly re-specced Alcatek ecu which works out at superb value and has a tried and tested spec. Brings it almost to ecutek remap prices...

Just realised I have two user names on the go, have been a member since 2004 but couldn't remember my login so opened a new account. I then remembered them without realising and logged in on my old account. Must be my age....

Check Duncans signature, it has everything there. He is Mobile, so is up and down the country here there and everywhere.
