Default Struggling Bugeye Wagon Newbie!

Hi guys and gals

So iv gone and bought a bugeye wagon and am struggling to find parts!

was just wondering a good place to start looking for upgrades as the car is 100% standard.

Firstly need new headlights, get rid of those orange indicators on the side and a new meshlike grill. those are my main bits at the moment as i just want the front of the car to look a bit better before i start anything else.

any help much appreciated in advance

If you take the headlights off, put them in the oven at low heat for ten minutes or so to soften the sealant you can pull them apart to get the crappy orange out. Put back together with a silver bulb in the indicator and hey presto! Much better.

Alternativley sti, morette, prodrive headlights off ebay look much better.

Got sti ones on my saloon.

Thanks for the quick replies. The headlights may be an ebay jobby for now but what is the difference between a jdm grill and a standard one?

Hi there we have bugeye wagon and really is not hard to modify the wagon with right parts

First thing is find cheap JDM STi headlights or even UK STi lights, will fit with some modifications on side of the HID

Second thing buy WRX/STi Fenders/wings,this will allow you fit saloon bugeye bumpers and will look front end wider

Third thing is look for JDL Rear lip and some sort of diffuser

Fourth would go with JDM STi front grill

Here is few pics how can look bugeye wagon,is our wagon

Hey jura thanks for the tips I was wondering how you got your wagon looking so different.
Iv seen your car close up and met you and your brother at slowboy racing the day you came to pick it up but needed to go get fuel.
I was with my friend Dave in his black Hawkeye that was being mapped! Hopefully meet you guys again soon Chris

Hi Chris

Been long way with different styles and now we are happy with this style which we have, few changes are planned like Spec C roof vent and other bits

Probably i remember you and your friend, but for sure if we meet you again we will recognize you and your friend

Really if you are looking for best is go with UK STi lights(£100),WRX/STi fenders/wings(from £50) and JDM grill(£70) and car will look different from front,at rear JDL lip(cost around £160),nice 18" wheels like Prodrive PPF7 or Inovite, possibly saloon front bumper

Engine wise, decatted exhaust, remap and if its budget TD05-16G or VF34/VF35 will be spot on and you can enjoy nice 330-350bhp

Wow very nice looking wagon! what is that thing you have below the radio?

Jura- The wagon is a WRX so im guessing this means i dont have to change the wings for a saloon front bumper to fit?

Hi Chris

Your wagon wings are narrow, you will need saloon wings which will allow you fit the saloon bumper

Chris, it's a PSI3 Data Monitor, they are no longer made but they connect into your OBD and give engine diagnostics, fault codes and live parameters amongst other things.

They do come up for sale every nw and then but the later VFD versions are better than the LCD type.

Hope this helps.
