93 WRX Import Modding
Hello, i was wondering what bhp the standard 93 WRX imports run at because i have been told 240 and 280, and it definately doesnt feel like 280. Plus its only running 11psi.
Whats mods would you suggest to get it running about 300bhp? Its already decatted, what do you suggest? Also whats your opinions on ecu chips and also would it be possible to fit a 2nd hand prodrive ecu to it? Cheers

Came from factory with 240PS, but that was an awfully long time ago, it would have lost quite a few since then and especially if it's only making 11PSI of boost
Before you even think about modding you need to consider a few things.
- its an old car now, does it run well, has it been serviced regulary using correct oils etc, what's the mileage, etc etc etc.

Yeah it runs fine, and its immaculate fors its age. Its only been in the UK 6 years so its really tidy and its only on 100K miles which for a 19 year old car is averaging about 5K a year. It has all the service history but most of it is in Japenese but you can make the miles out on the service sheet. Yeah overall its a really good can, tight as a drum to drive. The clutch has started to slip though which will be getting done asap. Cheers Loui

To be clear, the boost is fine on this car. I've dug this out from the mists of time:
WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi (240ps=236bhp)
WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi (260ps=256bhp)

Nice one for the info and for the list of mods! Im going to get a chipped ecu and a panel filter. Then a front mounted intercooler or bigger top mounted intercooler. Then after them im going to make it look nicer :P
