Can't recommend anything for the brakes but i use a strong stainless steal cleaner for my exhuast, comes up lovely everytime.
If you want to be posh autoglym do a nice steal cleaner.

a bit of use should sort the brakes I'd have thought depending on how long they've been stood for?
Exhaust, I wipe over with white spirit first then when dry use autosol to polish up all nice and shiny.
Is it definitely rust on exhaust? I thought my old stainless steel exhaust had some surface rust but it was just slight discolouration

Exhaust - i use autosol to good effect.
Brakes - you can prevent it on the outside edge and the front face by painting them black with hammerite if you wish - ideally when new, if not you would need to clean the surface up prior to painting
