how then is it removed? anybody know wha it looks like? how are they limited?
reason i ask ive fitted new clocks today and on the back is a black fitting for the speedo cable that my other clocks didnt have.
sure a shop on ebay was listing this part as a limiter at one point?
cheers.

Its a little black thing that connects to your speedo head and you then put your speedo into it.
What it does is in standard form when you hit 180km the clock needle is all the way around to the right at its max. With the adapter fitted it changes the speed so when your needle points nearer the top you would be roughly 180km. this is when you need to change to mph to get the correct speed. your max will be nearer the 160mph mark when the needed is all the way around be fore the limiter comes in again.
Hope this helps as ive just changed mine.

Early classics ,then its simply a adaptor behind the back of the clocks and then a sticker on your clocks that says MPH or you can use another adaptor that connect to your speedo cable at the gearbox end ,and plugs straight into your gearbox at the side of your turbo - does the same as the one behind the clocks.

Did this to my old classic as well, mine was a v4 so had the electronic speedo and I got a converter to mph off eBay. Worked well, but you MUST solder the connections otherwise you can get some strange problems...
