If type uk sti then vf43, if not on the car you will recognise it by the crack along from the wastegate

So it should be a v43 then ?? I'd of thought there would be some Ihi markings on it but I couldn't see any. What sort of power would a 43 make on a 2.5 sti 10 end in my classic with what supporting mods would it make power quick spooling etc or would I be better off with a vf35

I thought it was the vf 39's that were prone to that? I've had my vf43 off and there were no cracks.

I believe the vf43 on a 2.5 will run around 380 bhp but you would be advised to have forged pistons and ARP cylinder studs fitted at that power.

I have a 2006 2.5 WRX, it's a TD04 as standard so not twin scroll.

Just had a VF34 fitted & mapped by Engine Mapper @Group B. No other mods apart from walbro fuel pump and remove rear cat and it makes 306bhp & 370lbs.

Cheers,

AJS
