Default Can somebody identify this FMIC ??!!

Hi All.*
I bought this FMIC from a member on here and was told that is a Hybrid one. I've asked Harvey and sent him those pics to confirm that, but he said that all Hybrid FMIC's should have a "Hybrid" or "HID" logos/stamps even on clamps which this one hasn't got any :-(

Does anybody know this FMIC ? Make ? Is it any good ?
I'm not an expert but it seems to be good quality.*

I'm not saying that is NO good but I'm preparing car for first remap and want to be sure about parts I'm putting on.*

Thank You

Apart from that mystery number (no results found on google) there is absolutely no stamps etc !
Not all but some of the hoses are SAMCO !

What should I do then ? I didn't want anything else than Hybrid so... Is it worth to take a risk and fit this one ?

All I've heard about Autobahn88 is only bad things so it would be the last one I want to put on my car.

As I said, apart from 3(I think) Samco hoses others are just blank blue.
In this case, I think I'll try to send it back and ask for refund. It is not what I was told it is.

I think I know what Harvey is going to say

HYBRID is what you need ! :-)

I was looking for HID one and was told it is one. That's why I bought it !

If somebody could confirm for 100% that is a Autobahn, it's definitely not worth the price I paid for it.

I run 2 competition cars and wouldnt have a problem running the intercooler in your pics unless there are holes in it or it doesnt hold pressure.

The thing is the person you bought it off could have been told it is a Hybrid so all they are doing is passing the info on.

All I can tell you mate is my HDi is branded. I know some early ones were unbranded but tbh it would be pretty easy to claim it was Hybrid.

Identical looking Ebay ones are plentiful...

You bought it because it was advertised as a Hybrid and I'm guessing you paid Hybrid money for it and not cheapo price.
It's not what was advertised so I'd be sending it back an getting a refund.

All these eBay ones look very similar or even same to one I bought. The only thing is that I paid £145 for it thinking its a Hybrid FMIC. For a £179 you can get a brand new one (1st link) so...
I rather add another £150-£160 and get a genuine HID one from Harvey and be SURE, not hoping that it's a good piece of kit.

FMIC is not a part that you changing every few months so I think it's better to fit it once but be 100% about its quality, in this case - Hybrid.

personally id agree, a few extra quid and get the real thing for sure, no doubts.
Alot of intercoolers look the same but have diff cores, u may have the real thing but ive no idea and for the couple pounds id go with the real thing

Id 100% say its a toyosports intercooler ive had one and my mate ZIPPY! has at the minute. Not bad intercoolers to be honest, supposidly good for 600 ponnies.

Only down fall i think with these is they run down between the back of the rad and the timing cover and sit above the exhaust headers. This increase charge temps.

My intercooler i have one my classic now which is up for sale runs down by the battery and behind the front passenger corner of the bumper which seems a better way although harder to fit.

Id say you have a toyosports and as mattyb says contact the seller for a refund

The pipework does look like an autobahn one to me, not a bad intercooler but not a hybrid
