The blanking plates fit on the engine, not the pump.
To fit the blanks needs the entire air system removed - pump, 2 x solenoids & 2 x pipework runs.
I've only done this with the engine out during a rebuild.
I can't see how this can be done with the engine in place as there are too many other items in the way and one air pump is in a very tight location.

Both next to the air pump but connected to the inlet manifold. One of them has a really awkward bolt holding it to the manifold. i had to use all sorts of combinations of angled sockets and joints to get at it.
The two pipe runs are chalk and cheese to get off. The passenger side is easy, the drivers side runs close to loads of other pipes and behind the turbo before it dives down. Its easier to get the turbo off and remove this pipe TBH.
Where the pipes attach to the engine is where the blanking plates should go.
The Cosworth items were an outrageous price when I did mine, so I made some up in the workshop. Perhaps someone is doing a couple for a better price nowadays?

Bringing this back to the top to ask you guys a question.
I've just done this mod as mine as the engine is out at the moment, what do I do with the breather pipes that come from the heads and block? Do they need to be blanked off or do they still need to vent? Cheers.

Blanked off. Cosworth do the blanking plates.
