Difference in rear bumper bars - classic?
Hi guys, gonna do my rear bumper bar on my '99 classic Wagon. I've got a replacement bumper bar but it seems there are 2 different sorts for classics, V1-V2 and V3 onwards. How do you tell the difference? I don't wanna take my rotten one off and the replacement be an early type and not possibly fit
Any help appreciated, thanks.

Andy, I "think" the difference is that on early cars, the number plate lights fix to the bumper where as on the later cars they fix to the bumper bar.
AFAIK they are all the same otherwise.

Hmm, not a terrible thing then? As I'm sure the bumper bar can be drilled accordingly when I source a pair of said light brackets. Bit of modification if it's the earlier one. As long as the bolts line up and clips (bought new) then I'm happy.
