Some new silicone hoses and some paint always makes a difference.

I'm quite surprised you're running a single coil pack at that power level, I'm on newage coils.

It's not been something I've thought about to be honest. Maybe the newage coils is an avenue I need to look down. Is it an easy swap ?

Yours is harder to convert than mine because mine is a version 2 and it was already on individual coils, it can be done though and you'll have a stronger spark and smoother running.

A standard coil pack does mate but not as big a spark as new age coil packs and boost can blow out the spark if the plugs are worn, the leads are worn or the plug gaps are too large. The standard coil pack is up to the job but new age single coil packs are better.

Yes Rich does mate, he can do both and if you can't see his number in my signature drop me a line on here or facebook and I'll give it to you Getting close now at long last mate, you must be getting excited, how long has it been off the road?

I renew my sorn again in September so over 2 years but it will be worth it as I'm closer to more power and just need engine then another gearbox(6 speed) but tbh just want to get it together then put back in storage again lol

When it's together I'll give him a ring as I'll rob a truck from work and deliver it on trailer to get the spanner check done then start the worry about the mot butt I'm sure it will pass lol then map the apexi',,, then tow it home lol

Stop being a tart and get some de-greaser and the jet washer in there
Cover up anything you wanna keep dry with tesco bags and a bit of tape.

i had that wax stuff all over mine, i covered up the alternator removed the intercooler, blocked up the pipes etc then used engine degreaser and jetwash.

sounds extreme but it came up great.

but if your car is an everyday car its probably best to leave it on.

Shake n' Vac it.

# ...It's all you have to do

Just do the shake n' vac
And put the freshness back
Do the shake n' vac
And put the freshness back

When your turbo smells fresh
The block does too
Every time you park up
Remember what to do... #

it does do a good job though, if yours is an everyday car i would leave it on, if its not like mine and doesnt really see rain etc then wash it of with degreaser and maybe give the screws and nuts a squirt with wd40.

Warm the car up.
Bag up things like air filter, coil, battery, electrical connections.
Spray some degreaser over the entire engine bay.
Allow it to soak in for 5 mins.
Jet wash away.
Dry off the best you can.
Remove bags.
Start car and allow to idle for 10 mins.
Wipe over with some back to black etc etc as needed.

That's what I did and all was well and looked good.
