I know of lot of owners club members who have contacted them. They just get a standard reply saying their working on the issue as a matter of urgency. This has been an ongoing problem for weeks now.

Its been very intermittent.
I did get a text from the car yesterday several hours after I requested a status.
Other times its responded almost immediately
Apparently its a telecommunications issue in Italy

Hi Guys,
I reported issues to them back in April (to Tom). Spoken to them on the phone and also multiple emails. Even spoken to Subaru Customer Service who just directed me back to Metasat.
No further forward with this up till now, just the standard "we are looking into this and will be on contact soon"...
Absolutely cr*p service and useless at doing anything about the problem. I dont understand for the life of me what investigation could take the best part of 3 months to look into/resolve... It's clearly a service related issue if others are having issues too however they're hell bent on blaming other factors for it (i.e. poor mobile phone GSM networks etc..)
If anyone gets any further (more concrete) info on this please let us know!
Cheers

I used the +39 number last night. I had no problem logging on but couldn't add units for my annual renew. I emailed Tom at Corel today but no reply so far. Oh and my java is up to date. Going to try the other number as only knew of the +39 number.

YES the fault is intermitant
YES they can still track your carduring a SMS fault, BUT only if YOU or POLICE actualyy ask them to do so
NO if during the Fault you car alarm fails to send you the SMS of a fault/Stolen/Overspeed etc. NO ONE actually monitors ANY alarms to either inform you or the Police.
So during these faults(which are VERY common) and your on two weeks Holiday
Your Car METASAT can be sending it's very last 6 TEXT's saying
"Help my door and proximity alarms are going off"
"Help I'm doing 30mph and no ignition on"
"Help I'm doing 130mph and no ignition key"
"Help someone is using my SIM to phone Nigera"
"Help I was Jonny 5 and alive but now I've been Kille........................ddd"
"Hello the weathers better here in Albania"
You come back with a lovelly Tan and an empty Garage I'm certain that the when you report the lose to METSAT the will say.............sorry but we lost the signal 13 days ago......................................and you owe us for 27 calls to Nigera...............thats £198.00 + VAT
Regards

I'm sure I've always had a UK number to text, the reply came from an Italian number though
T5NYW - I've always been aware that no one monitors the signals
The bit that really pisses me off is the fact that you can't longer immobilise the car like you could with the previous metasat system

I spoke to them yesterday after it took 12 hours for a SAT.STATUS response, was told I should only use the +39 number & not the UK number... told delays were either due to visibility of the car, the mobile network and usual SMS delays or any combination of those factors... not convinced, but as my car's back at the dealers I suppose it could have been out of sight in the workshop.
