Default Does a sti 8 spoiler fit in place of wrx spoiler?

As above, had a quick search but couldn't find the answer. Does the sti 8 spoiler fit in the same mounting points as the standard wrx spoiler? Or do you need a whole new bootlid?

sti spoiler requires more bolts so you can either drill some more hole's in your boot lid or as you have said get hold of an sti boot lid.i think wrx has 4 bolts,, sti has 8 bolts.

the sti8 has more holes than 8.

i think it is something like 12 + 1 for the brake light cable.

The existing holes in the WRX boot will fit the sti8 spolier. I made the change several years ago and never bothered adding the extra holes despite having the bolts available. Never had any issues ...

Didn't have to drill a hole for the brake light cable either.

Straight fit to my 2003 Blob WRX.

I have done this exact move on the Mrs' car, took the central bolts off the STi spoiler.

put some bond under the middle. put the 4 bolts in and fastened them. there is also a plastic stud that clips in too.

secure as a safe mate
