Just a quick hello to everyone on the site, i purchased my 1st subaru at the end of may so i thought id join the club as its been very helpfull so far. I would have bought 1 ages ago but ive only just turned 24 and as you will know the insurance is rather expensive for me.
Anyway the car i purchased is a Blue 2004 STI type UK with 32k miles on in immaculate condition and im really pleased with it so far. All standard apart from a Blitz Nur Spec R cat back exhaust which i must say sounds fantastic, although i reckon the neighbours disagree lol. I do have future plans for it and would like to get it to be running around the 330 - 350bhp mark which i dont think will be too expensive to do. Please feel free to advise me in the right direction . Im based in the Dewsbury/Wakefield area of west yorkshire so would be nice to get to know some of the local lads. Bye for now and il look foward to speaking with the other members. Paul

Welcome to Scoob ownership and snet fella

Hope all goes well with the car, I think a simple remap wil get you close to the figures you say but im sure others will give you more idea on numbers.

Just had my WRX mapped by Andrew Carr at Richard Henry Motorsport in Bradford I must say great lads and know there stuff, an what a transformation !!! you cant go wrong with A Carr for mapping other on here will also back me up on that.

All the best

Rich

Oh ye im from the Morley area so not far away.

im un-decided weather to go for a sports cat and middle decat or go for full decat... I love the sound of the blitz as it is and dont really want to change the sound of it much? what do you reckon? I just dont want it to sound really raspy and sound like a fart down a drain pipe lol. I can deal with pops and bangs as my old focus ST did

Hi

Richard Henry is the garage but they use a mobile mapper by the name of Andrew Carr here is his website http://www.teamcarr.net/

I would only use these guys an no one else they have been great for the last 3 years of ownership but thats my opinion, Do a search on here for both and you'll get nothing but good rep.

Rich

Welcome mate
+1 for andy Carr
Do a full decat in uppipe
255 fuel pump
Pannel filter
Heat 7 plugs
And a map should see you at 330-350 nicely

Does andy carr come to your house or work to do the mapping or do you have to go to one of the workshops listed on his site?

I couldnt say for defo, Give him a call 07852164134 and see what he says, I would always do it from a garage just incase anything happens thats unexpected.

Andy can come to your house as he did with mine and he has a few tools incase owt blows off etc or you can meet him at rh as he's there most of the time and also maps on road not rollers, as IMO on the road is better more real life.

whats the average price he would charge to come out and map it? Would you recommend andy over an Ecu-tek remap? Would the figures be better by using andy?

£250 full map and £150 for tweaks.
He will use you standard ecu. Phone him up and ask about his new wrc style rom he has and maffless etc, he will guide the best that suits you. But these extras may cost more.

Hi Paul

How did you get on today ? did you speak to Andy C ?

No rollers for map as its road mapping so you wont get a bhp figure but imo that means nothing anyway, if mapped on rollers with a big fan blowing towards the car its not as good as mapping on the road real time. You could go to a rolling road after for figures if you need em.
